Refund & Cancellation Policy
How cancelling, rescheduling, deposits, and refunds work when you hire Fisher Computer Solutions LLC.
Effective October 1, 2026
The short version
Tell me early, and if something I did isn’t right, I fix it first.
Give me 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment; there is no fee. If you cancel a project, the part of your deposit I haven’t earned is refunded. If something I did isn’t working, I fix it at no charge, and if that doesn’t solve it, we work out a refund.
Appointments
24 hours’ notice, and no fee.
To cancel or reschedule an on-site visit or a remote session, email me at least 24 hours ahead. There is no fee for cancelling or rescheduling. If something comes up at the last minute, tell me as soon as you can. There is still no fee, but if appointments are missed or cancelled late more than once, I may ask you to pay up front before booking the next one. If you have paid up front and then need to cancel or reschedule, that payment carries over to your next visit; nothing is kept.
If I need to cancel or reschedule, I will tell you as early as I can and find a new time that works for you.
Web & app projects
A deposit to start, and milestones for bigger projects.
Web and app projects start with a 50% deposit. For a small project, the balance is due on delivery. For a larger project, the rest is billed at the milestones listed in the estimate.
You can cancel a project at any time by email. You pay for the work done up to that point, and if your deposit covers more than that, I refund the rest. Cancelling doesn’t refund milestones that have already been delivered and paid for, but if delivered work isn’t what we agreed, the fix-first promise below still applies. Paying for work done doesn’t hand over the code: a cancelled project falls under “I keep the code” in the terms of service.
Work already done
I fix it first.
If something I did is not working the way we agreed, tell me and I will fix it at no charge. That is always the first step. If I can’t fix it, or the work turns out not to be what we agreed, I will refund all or part of what you paid for that work, depending on what happened. Refunds for completed work are decided case by case.
Hardware
Most clients buy their own devices, so returns go through the store you bought from. If I supplied the hardware and it is defective, I will help you with the manufacturer’s warranty claim. Unused hardware I supplied can be returned only if the seller I bought it from accepts the return, and you get back what the seller refunds me.
Services on my account
If we agreed that I would keep a domain or a cloud service on my account for you, what the provider charges for it — a domain registration, or prepaid cloud time — can’t be refunded once it has been paid to the provider. Email me and I will stop renewing it. A domain moves to your own account, free, whenever you ask; a service that runs code I have kept moves as part of a code handover, which is priced separately (see the terms of service).
How to ask
Email me with the invoice number.
Send a message to Jason@fishercomputersolutions.com with the invoice number and what went wrong. I reply to most messages received during business hours the same day.
Refunds go back the way you paid where possible. Card, Apple Pay, and Google Pay payments are refunded to the same card through Stripe; how long that takes to show up depends on your bank. Cash App Pay payments are refunded to your Cash App for up to 90 days after you paid, and by bank transfer after that. Payments by bank transfer or check are refunded by bank transfer.
Before you dispute a charge
Talk to me first — it’s usually faster.
If a charge looks wrong, please contact me before disputing it with your card issuer. I can usually sort it out quickly, and a refund reaches you sooner than a dispute, which can take weeks. This doesn’t limit your right to dispute a charge.
